Hands dangling or Holding Hands?

Hands dangling or Holding Hands?

Welcome to The Art Of Posing Part 3 - Details

The third and final part of our tutorial is about details of hands and face.

Hands hanging straight down look a bit awkward.  You can usually have 1 hand hanging down and it looks alright.  The trick is to do something with your hands? Put your hands in your pockets… BUT only part way.  Either put your fingers in keep you thumb out or thumb in and fingers out. Ladies…. Im guessing your dress does not have pockets so what do you do?  Hold something… like your bouquet! (easy). Or put your hand on your hip, pull on the seam of you dress, play with your hair are always options for when you have no bouquet.  Of course my favorite is to have you wrap your arms around your fiance!

The face is another detail that will make or break your photos. Laughing will always bring a natural smile, often a fake laugh works just as well.  Practice your smile in a mirror before your wedding day or portraits session. Also if you want that model expression, breath through your lips… Just enough so they’re not tight but also not mouth hanging open. Options for your eyes… at the camera, at each other, looking downward, and off in to the distance or looking away.
