Welcome to “The Art Of Posing Part 1 - Foundations”

Posing is an art. But understandably it's an art that a lot of couples are nervous about, and sadly that a lot of so-called "professional" photographers actually don't know how to direct correctly

Posing starts a whole lot like building a new house.  A house needs a good foundation to support the structure of the walls and the roof.  Moving on to the details of the windows and trim, our house because finished.

The foundation of posing is the feet and weight distribution.  Always shift your weight to one foot or the other. Which one depends on the way your facing and the pose itself.  When you shift your weight to one side or the other you instantly look more natural and relaxed. When you are walking for example you shift your weight from one foot to the next.  The simplest way to do this is to shift more weight to your back leg or cross your legs.
