Artist Statement :
I approach my work with my past visions and experiences from art and life. In my work in our natural world I look for the beauty and majesty that hits me in the heart and take my breath away. A single autumn leaf, the crash of an ocean wave, a snow capped peak, a quiet sunrise. It an emotion that can not possibly be described in words; you just feel it.
I try to capture the
moment and feeling through my photographs; to
share that emotion and peace in the midst of our
increasing chaotic world with another human
being to make a spiritual connection

Bio :
My passion for photography began in a high school darkroom watching my first black and white print magically come to life in the developer tray. I was hooked.
My career path continued by studying photography at the University of California at Santa Cruz where I learned custom black and white and color darkroom printing. I shot with large, medium, 35mm formats.
I have
taught photography from behind the counter at
camera stores and personal consultations. I have
shown my work in solo and group exhibitions on
the East and West Coast of the country.
